- Sponsored Mackinac County Drug Take Back & Education Event. October 23, 2021, and October 29, 2022.
- Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation flyers are posted on this website (News and Information) and are available at various schools in the area served and the Hiawatha Sportsman's Club office and kiosk on US 2.
- Narcan kits and training have been facilitated in the areas served.
- Continued success purchasing fuel cards through ongoing grant writing. The fuel cards purchased are distributed to assist families with transportation expenses to access counseling for their youth at the Helen Newberry Joy Hospital Behavioral Health Center.
- Provided informational ads in The Advisor and Newberry News to direct families to assistance.
EUP Recycling
- Leading initiative to bring viable recycling efforts to our area. Currently working with Mackinac County, surrounding townships, Marquette County Solid Waste, Recycle 906, UP Paper, NextCycle, Michigan Recycling Coalition, EGLE, and interested community members.
- Held a community organization/information meeting at the Garfield Township Hall on October 19, 2021, to share our progress and next steps.
- Working to re-establish the transfer station site on US 2.
